Our proposal
Robert and I moved to Bozeman, MT for my externship at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. We had been there a few months, and on February 14th, 2013, I went to work at 8am as usual. While I was there I had noticed some older gentlemen walking around the hospital in suits and red ties. They were singing to people throughout the hospital. I had talked to the other techs about what they were doing and they said they can be hired out to sing to people a Valentine’s love song. In the meantime, which I did not know, Robert was getting his hair cut planning on meeting the quartet at the hospital where they were going to sing to me. The problem with that was that the quartet gave a time frame from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm so Robert figured to just show up at 10 am. At about 9am, I came around the corner after doing an x-ray and there stood the 4 accapella singing gentlemen. They asked if I was Brittany and I highly...HIGHLY debated saying no because I knew what was about to come next. They proceeded to sing to me with the receptionists, the 10 other techs and bystanders all watching. After the songs (plural) were over, Robert pulled up to the hospital getting ready to propose but Robert received a text from me telling him I just experienced a HUGE amount of embarrassment and happiness all at the same time. He obviously knew he was too late so the plans changed for Robert after receiving that text. So when I got off from work later that evening, and was at home trying to hurry and get ready to go out to a nice restaurant that Robert set up. When I came out of the bathroom, Rob was standing and staring at me from the bedroom. I proceeded to walk into the living room and he followed me and knelt down on one knee and said he loved me with all his heart and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and couldn’t see himself with anyone else. He then asked “Will you marry me?” And I said yes!
